Call Logs & AI Insights

Every call — inbound, campaign, callback, or API-triggered — lands in Call Logs with a full AI analysis. This page explains each field and, more importantly, what to do with it.

Reading a call log

The table shows one row per call: direction, caller, time, duration, who ended it, lead label, score, sentiment, intent, and the summary. Click any row to expand it — the expanded view holds the complete analysis, the recording player, and the full chat-style transcript. Use the filters (call type, lead label, phone search, date range, campaign) and the stats bar to slice your history.

What each insight means

FieldMeaning
Lead labelHot = wants to buy / asked about payment · Warm = interested, needs follow-up · Cold = low intent · Not interested = explicit no · Callback requested.
Lead score1–5 stars. 5 = ready to buy now. Use ≥4 as your "sales should call today" filter.
Sentiment & intentThe caller's mood (positive/neutral/negative) and why they engaged (purchase, pricing, demo, support, complaint…).
Call summary & key insightWhat happened in 2–3 sentences, plus the single most important thing to know before the next follow-up.
Call outcomeCompleted, voicemail, wrong person, caller hung up early, or dropped. Voicemail/wrong-person detection keeps junk out of your lead stats.
Goal achievedOn outbound calls with a stated purpose: did the call actually accomplish it? Judged against your script, not a generic idea of a good call.
Next actionOne concrete recommended follow-up — e.g. "Send EMI plan on WhatsApp today, call back Thursday 11am."
Suggested follow-up (WhatsApp)A ready-to-send message under 400 characters, written in the language the caller spoke.
Customer detailsName, city, email, budget — whatever the caller actually said, captured automatically.
Competitors & unanswered questionsRival names raised on the call, and questions your agent couldn't answer — your to-do list for improving your Business Knowledge.
Agent performance1–5 QA rating of the AI agent itself (talking over the caller, mishearing, repetition, wrong language), with its talk-time percentage.

The analysis knows the call's context

ExoCall briefs the AI with the call's purpose, campaign, duration, and the caller's previous history before it judges the call — so "call me next week" is scored differently on a cold-revival call than on a payment-closing call.

A weekly workflow that pays for itself

1. Daily: filter lead label = Hot → your sales team calls these first, using the next action and follow-up draft.

2. Weekly: read the unanswered-questions field across the week's calls → add the missing answers to your Business Knowledge.

3. Weekly: scan agent-performance ratings under 3 → read those transcripts and fix the persona or script causing the mistakes.

Common questions

How long after a call does the analysis appear?

Usually within about a minute of the call ending. ExoCall waits briefly for Exotel to finish processing the recording, sends the audio to Gemini, and saves the result. Calls shorter than 15 seconds are not analysed — there is nothing meaningful to score.

What is the difference between lead label and call outcome?

The lead label (Hot/Warm/Cold/Not Interested/Callback Requested) rates the person's buying intent. The call outcome (completed / voicemail / wrong person / caller hung up early / dropped) rates what happened mechanically on the call. A voicemail call has an outcome but no meaningful lead intent — separating them keeps your lead stats honest.

Why does a call have a transcript but no analysis?

Either the call was under 15 seconds (analysis is skipped), the analysis is still processing (wait a minute and refresh), or your Gemini API key was missing/invalid at analysis time. Check Settings → Google Gemini API Key if it keeps happening.

Can I export call logs?

Yes — the Export button downloads the current filtered view as CSV (up to 10,000 rows). For a live feed into your CRM, use webhooks instead: the call.analyzed event pushes every result to your endpoint the moment it is ready.
