ExoCall Help
Callbacks
"Call me back tomorrow at 5" is where most businesses lose leads — someone has to remember. ExoCall detects the request from the conversation, schedules it, and dials the lead back at the right time automatically.
How it works
- 1
A caller asks for a callback
In any language, in any phrasing — exact times ("tomorrow at 5pm"), relative ones ("after 2 hours", "in a few minutes"), or vague ones ("shortly"). The AI understands them in context.
- 2
The analysis schedules it
Post-call analysis converts the request into an exact IST date-time, labels the lead Callback Requested, and creates a pending callback. You'll see it on the Callbacks page with the lead's details and the original call's summary.
- 3
ExoCall dials at the scheduled time
With Auto Callback enabled (Settings), the AI agent calls the lead at the scheduled time — with the previous conversation in memory, so it continues where things left off rather than starting over. The callback call gets its own log and analysis like any other.
Timezone note
Callback times are captured and dialled in IST — "tomorrow at 5pm" means 5pm Indian time regardless of where your dashboard is opened from.
Common questions
How does ExoCall know a caller wants a callback?›
The post-call AI analysis reads the conversation. If the caller asked to be called back — "call me tomorrow at 5", "abhi busy hoon, shaam ko call karna", "in 10 minutes" — the analysis converts the request into an exact date and time (IST) and labels the call "Callback Requested". No keywords or configuration needed.
Does the AI actually call the lead back on its own?›
Yes, if Auto Callback is enabled in Settings (it is on by default). At the scheduled time, ExoCall dials the lead with your AI agent, which is briefed that this is a requested callback and knows the previous conversation via caller memory. With the toggle off, callbacks are only listed for your team to handle manually.
What if a lead schedules two callbacks?›
Only the newest callback per phone number stays active — older pending callbacks for the same lead are cancelled automatically, so the auto-dialler never calls the same person twice about stale requests.
What do the callback statuses mean?›
Pending = scheduled and waiting for its time · Calling = the auto-dialler is on the call right now · Done = the callback call completed · Cancelled = superseded by a newer callback or cancelled by your team.
